Hambalang — President-elect Prabowo Subianto has urged members of the Gerindra Party who were elected to the House of Representatives (DPR) to maintain their loyalty to the people and the Indonesian nation. He conveyed this message during a briefing to party members at the Garuda Yaksa Hall in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Monday (September 23).
“Thank you, my comrades, as the fighters at the forefront. I appreciate your loyalty once again. Remember, serving and working for our people is the right path. We stand tall, our loyalty is to the people, to our nation,” Prabowo stated.
He emphasized that this loyalty should be directed towards the people and not towards him personally. He made it clear that if he ever deviates from the right path, they should feel free to depart from him.
“I urge you not to be loyal to me as an individual. As long as I fight for what is right, I seek your support. But if you ever feel that I am no longer on the right path, you have my permission to leave me,” Prabowo emphasized.
He also reiterated his enduring commitment to defend the people, especially the disadvantaged, and uphold the honor of the Indonesian nation.
“My pledge remains firm: I am willing to sacrifice for the truth. I am prepared to defend my people, to defend the poor, to defend the honor of the Indonesian nation, and I have no hesitation about that,” Prabowo concluded.
