Honorable guests and fellow citizens of Indonesia, today marks a significant event in our nation’s history—the Inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term.
I am deeply honored to stand before you today, together with Brother Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as we take an oath to uphold our constitution, implement all laws and regulations, and serve our country and its people to the best of our abilities. We pledge to lead the government of Indonesia with sincerity, prioritizing the interests of all Indonesians, regardless of their political affiliations.
The challenges and threats we face as a nation are indeed significant, but we must face them with courage and determination. Indonesia is blessed with vast land and sea territories, abundant natural resources, and a rich history of heroism and sacrifice. We must harness these strengths to overcome the obstacles that lie ahead.
I call upon all Indonesians to be a brave nation, unafraid of challenges and committed to building a better future for our country. Let us work together, united in our efforts to overcome adversity and achieve progress for all. Thank you to all the heads of state and government, as well as special envoys from friendly nations, for joining us in this momentous occasion.
