CKG Sekolah: Program Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Gratis untuk Anak dan Remaja

The School-Based Free Health Screening Program (CKG Sekolah) is set to be launched by the Indonesian government on Monday, August 4, 2025, across 12 schools in different regions. This initiative, according to Adita Irawati from the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), is in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision to develop high-quality human capital for Indonesia’s future. CKG Sekolah is considered a long-term investment in the health of children and adolescents, representing a key component of the President’s Fast-Impact Priority Initiatives in the healthcare sector. The program aims to transform the national healthcare system by focusing on prevention and promotion. With the broader CKG Program already reaching over 16 million individuals since its launch in February 2025, the ultimate goal is to provide essential healthcare services to the entire population of Indonesia, which includes 53.8 million school-age children. The program will target various educational institutions, including schools under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The CKG Sekolah program aims to shift public health behavior by encouraging routine health screenings, even for those who feel healthy, to detect potential health risks early on. The Ministry of Health has been commended for effectively executing the program, as the government continues to prioritize the health and well-being of children—the future generation of the nation. Through early screening, the goal is to identify and address any health issues before they escalate into more serious problems later in life.
