FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Neno Warisman officially joined the Gelora Party. After leaving the Ummau Party as Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council.
The Gelora Party, or Gelombang Rakyat, is a member party of the Koalisi Indonesia Maju (KIM). The party supports Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming in the 2024 presidential election.
This was acknowledged by PDIP cadre Ferdinand Hutahean. He congratulated Gibran.
“Congratulations Gibran_tweet for receiving new support from Sister Neno Warisman,” Ferdinand said as quoted from his upload on X, Monday (30/10/2023).
He said that Neno, who is an actress, has been a sympathizer of a Social Organization (Ormas) all this time. The organization was recently dissolved by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) through Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 2 of 2017 concerning Amendments to Law Number 17 of 2013 concerning Social Organizations (Ormas).
“A figure who has been a sympathizer of a group dissolved by Jokowi’s father, brother,” he said.
Ferdinand did not specify which Ormas was meant. However, judging from her activities, Neno has been actively involved in the #2019gantipresiden movement since 2019.
Neno is even one of the declarators. She is also mentioned as a donor in the movement.
In addition, she was once known to be close to the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front, Habib Rizieq Shihab. (Arya/Fajar)
