The Free Health Check in Schools program (CKG Sekolah) was officially launched on August 4, 2025. The initiative kicked off simultaneously in 12 schools, receiving a positive response from students. Fritz Edward Siregar, Deputy for Information Coordination and Communication Evaluation at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), highlighted that CKG Sekolah is a key step towards developing Indonesia’s golden generation. This school-based program is part of the broader Free Health Check (CKG) initiative that began in February 2025.
President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results for the Best Outcomes program prioritizes the CKG initiative as a crucial component of building a healthier nation. The goal is to extend health checks to schools nationwide, covering students in elementary, middle, and high school levels. The enthusiastic participation in the program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 8 in South Jakarta demonstrates the importance of promoting preventive healthcare among the youth.
Presidential Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General (Ret.) Anto Mukti (AM) Putranto, emphasized the crucial role parents play in motivating their children to participate in the health checks. With 617 students taking part in the program at MIN 8 South Jakarta, a team of 30 medical personnel conducted various health screenings, including examinations for nutritional status, blood pressure, dental check-ups, mental health, and more.
Launched as part of Asta Cita on February 10, 2025, CKG is a cornerstone of the government’s efforts to transform the national healthcare system. The initiative aims to offer free health checks at least once a year for 60 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025, with plans to expand coverage gradually to reach the entire Indonesian population. CKG services are easily accessible through community health centers, schools, BPJS clinics, and integrated health posts.
By integrating digital platforms like the SATUSEHAT Mobile app and the Ministry of Health’s official WhatsApp channel, CKG ensures wider outreach and convenience for beneficiaries. With over 15 million beneficiaries as of July 30, 2025, the program is making significant strides in promoting preventive healthcare. Initiatives like CKG are crucial in fostering a healthier society and creating a brighter future for Indonesia’s youth.
