Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Gratis: Langkah Awal Bebas dari Penyakit

Senior Expert at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Hariqo Wibawa Satria, emphasized the importance of the Free Health Check (CKG) program as a crucial step in promoting a healthier nation. He stated that CKG serves as the initial stage towards disease prevention, encouraging individuals to prioritize their health throughout their lives. With each passing Independence Day, Hariqo expressed hope for not only celebrating the nation’s freedom but also witnessing a rise in the number of Indonesians free from illnesses.

The government, under President Prabowo’s administration, has implemented a series of priority programs aimed at enhancing public health, such as CKG, the “Stop TB” campaign, and initiatives to improve regional public hospitals. Special allowances are also provided for medical specialists serving in remote areas. Despite Indonesia celebrating its 80th year of independence, the country still faces significant health challenges, impacting both the economy and society.

Studies have revealed the detrimental effects of illnesses on productivity and the country’s GDP, with losses projected to increase if left unaddressed. The economic burden of smoking, obesity, and tropical diseases further highlights the importance of investing in healthcare as a strategic economic asset. Hariqo also highlighted the alarming rates of diabetes, obesity, and tooth decay among Indonesian children, emphasizing the crucial role of CKG in promoting preventive healthcare and education.

Efforts to improve public health not only benefit individuals but also contribute to national development and economic growth. A healthier population leads to increased life expectancy and enhanced human resource productivity, thereby boosting GDP. By reducing illness rates, Indonesia could potentially experience significant GDP growth annually. The ultimate goal is to have a healthier populace that can actively participate in the country’s progress and prosperity.

It is clear that prioritizing public health is essential for both individual well-being and national advancement. Investing in preventive healthcare measures like CKG not only reduces the burden of diseases but also fosters a more robust and productive society. As Indonesia commemorates each Independence Day, progress towards a healthier and disease-free population should be the primary focus, ensuring a brighter future for the nation.
