FAJAR.CO.ID – Bambang Susantono resigns from the position of head of the Capital City Development Authority (Otorita IKN). The same goes for his deputy, Dhony Rahajoe. Both of them resigned from their positions at the same time.
The news of the resignation of these two figures has brought back discussions about IKN. It is known that in the middle of last year, precisely in early April 2023, Bambang Susantono had mentioned that he and Dhony Rahajoe were late in receiving their salaries, almost for a year.
“We must be honest that we are still waiting for the Presidential Regulation regarding the Financial Rights of Level 1 Officials and their subordinates at this time. If I may be honest, I and Mr. Doni needed 11 months to receive our salaries,” said Bambang in a hearing at the DPR, Senayan, Jakarta on Monday, April 3, 2023, as quoted from Antara.
Therefore, Bambang said, the issue of financial rights of Level 1 Officials and below will soon be discussed. “This is now heading to the President,” he said back then.
This connects to the news about the salaries of Otorita IKN employees not being paid for months as previously reported. In the hearing at the DPR, Bambang mentioned that he was still waiting for the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) that regulates this matter.
Then, in mid-April 2023, Deputy Head of Otorita IKN Dhony Rahajoe stated that President Joko Widodo or Jokowi strongly supports the acceleration of resolving the issue of unpaid salaries of employees for months.
Meanwhile, Former Secretary of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Muhammad Said Didu, admitted that he knows Bambang. He believes that there are problems with the IKN project reflected in the resignation of the two officials.
