Following meeting Vietnam’s President, Prabowo Subianto meets National Assembly Chair to explore collaboration opportunities.

Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto continued his visit to Vietnam by meeting with the Chairman of Vietnam’s National Assembly, Tran Thanh Man, on September 14. Prior to this meeting, Prabowo had also met with Vietnam’s President, H.E. Tô Lâm, on September 13.

During the discussions with Chairman Tran Thanh Man, both parties talked about strategic issues and ways to enhance bilateral relations between Indonesia and Vietnam. They expressed optimism about strengthening cooperation, particularly in areas of mutual interest. Prabowo highlighted the potential for Indonesia and Vietnam to contribute to regional stability through deepening defense relations.

Accompanying Prabowo were key figures such as Indonesia’s Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Denny Abdi; member of Indonesia’s House of Representatives (DPR) Commission I, Sugiono; and Indonesian Defense Attaché to Vietnam, Colonel Dian Tri Hutanto. From the Vietnamese side, Chairman Tran Thanh Man was accompanied by important officials from the National Assembly and Foreign Affairs departments.

The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to enhance ties in defense and other crucial sectors for lasting peace and cooperation in Southeast Asia.
